Well, I did it, I finally started my very own blog about what I love most..... gardening! After a particularly cold and snowy Michigan winter, I have been left longing to experience the simple joys of spring; soil under my fingernails, and the warm sun on my back as I am hunched over sowing the promise of new life. What better than to create a journal that celebrates just that? This blog will be a place where I can share my ideas and creations and maybe even spark some inspiration in the hearts of others.
I want to try strawberries this year -- but am I too late to start them?? I'm doing a communitiy garden plot w/ some girlfriends and we agreed to start everything from seed (gah!). which has me PANICKED. I thought I had a few more weeks before I had to really freak out. I guess not!! *runs off to freak out*
ReplyDeleteKim, you still have time to start alpine strawberries by seed but they may not fruit this year. If you are looking for big juicy berries, your best bet is to buy plants already started at the green house, or to buy dormant bare roots. As for the rest of your seed starting adventures, try Botanical Interests, they are the best! Their web sight also has a ton of gardening info. Thanks for stopping bye!!!
